Nigerians will go to any length to advertise their products. This was the observation of Nigeria’s music producer Micheal Collins Ajereh popularly known as Don Jazzy.
Nigerians are hustlers to say the least. We have a lot of hardworking folks in this part of the globe. Where you have Nigerians, there are no dull moments.
As a Nigerian, there are behaviours expected of you. In fact, if you do not exhibit these behaviours, then you have not yet blended with the citizens enough.
One attribute of Nigerians is asking rhetoric questions. For example, a Nigerian that sees you coming out from the bathroom. He or she will still ask you if you are coming out from the bathroom.
Another attribute of Nigerians is seeing the funny side of things. They do not take things to heart. Although they know how to “drag” people. They will drag you on Twitter and go to Instagram to praise you later.
On the Twitter handle of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Nigerians have turned the page to a centre for asking for followers. Everyday, people wait for their updates just to beg for followers. This behaviour is already becoming a norm.
In addition, Nigerians have the habit of making jest of people. They do not do it to harm you. Hence, you have to guard your heart so as not to feel too hurt about it. They do it for the sake of it. At times, to cause provocation. It is therefore necessary to know the path you toe on social media.
Popular music producer Don Jazzy has also observed another attitude of most Nigerians. His observation is on people who do adverts under people’s posts. For instance, you could make a post for the sake of reactions. Most of the comments on that post will not relate to the post. Rather, it would be about adverts of products and services.
The Mavins Records boss also stated that even if he posts an obituary, he is sure that Nigerians will do advert there. It will not be surprising if people also posts their products and services on that same post. Some Nigerians are that petty.
