The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the obstruction of many activities in the world. Nigeria is not any different. Schools were the most hit as children and teachers have been away from the classroom since March, 2020. However, some schools have resorted to online learning. This was where Linda Osifo’s foundation showed up.
Nevertheless, the online school has posed some challenges to students who could not afford a personal computer. Also, data is another challenge for them. Hence, they were left with no choice than to stay away from the online class. Nollywood actress Linda Osifo, has decided to help some of the students as she visited an orphanage home in Akowonjo.
A foundation which was founded by Nollywood actress Linda Osifo has brought respite to Little Saints Orphanage Home, Shasha, Akowonjo, Lagos. They donated some set of computers to help out students participate in the online learning presently ongoing across the world.
The LAO Foundation (Love And Oneness), contributed its quota to developing the ICT centre for the orphanage through the seven sets of computers they donated.
In response to the kind gesture by Linda Osifo and her team, the founder of Little Saints Orphanage, Akowonjo, Reverend (Mrs) Dele George showed her gratitude. She recalled when the LAO team contacted her and told her of their intentions. Furthermore, she stated that she is overjoyed and grateful as the donation was timely.
Likewise, Mrs George noted that education is a major concern for Little Saints Orphanage. According to her, it will help the children to thrive independently once they leave the orphanage. In conclusion, she eulogized the efforts of the LAO team and admitted that the orphanage will add Linda Osifo’s name to their hall of fame.
